Essential hard landscaping supplies for building projects large and small, including ballast, building sand, gravel and hardcores. Ideal for building sub bases for patios, sheds, greenhouses and other structural features, or for providing drainage.
We supply a range of aggregates for use in gardens and building projects of all kinds, available in bags or in loose bulk loads delivered to your premises.
Aggregates and Hardcores
These products are essential for creating a stable sub base in a variety of building and landscaping projects including: patios, sheds, greenhouses, summerhouses, garages and other hardstanding areas. As well as providing stability, they also provide a separation between the over structure and underlying soil, helping drainage and avoiding dampness. Using aggregates under a patio creates a longer lasting base for patio paving slabs as well as reducing the likelihood of weeds. Our hardcores include MOT Type 1 and Limestone in 20mm or 50mm sizes.
Sand and Ballast
We stock a variety of sands and sand mixtures to serve many uses in building and landscaping projects. Our ballast mix of sand and gravel is essential for making concrete, while our sharp sand is useful for bedding paving slabs and blocks for patios and driveways. We also stock soft sand for building use, and play sand suitable for children’s sand pits.
Gravel and Stones
As well as providing an attractive decorative surface, gravel and stones can improve drainage within soil and around pipes and drains. We stock a range of sizes from horticultural grit for mixing into heavy or clay soils, 10mm and 20mm gravel, through to large 50mm limestone pieces. If you are looking for decorative aggregates or coloured gravel and slate chippings, please visit our Decorative Stones, Cobbles & Chippings page.
